Last March the Labour City Council backtracked on their plan to cut the funding to local school patrols after a successful campaign led by local Conservatives and the Birmingham Mail. Now the Labour Council have announced that they will stop funding school crossing patrols. Local Conservatives feel this is a betrayal of all the hardworking crossing patrol men and woman across the city as well as parents who were told in March, just two month before the election that the patrols would be saved.
