Taking Action to Tidy up Kingstanding!

Local residents and councillors Gary Sambrook and Ron Storer have been working hard on trying to clear up the constant dumping of rubbish, fly tipping and anti-social behaviour which has been affecting Kingstanding ward recently.


Edgbaston’s Conservative Councillors, DEIRDRE ALDEN, MATT BENNETT and FERGUS ROBINSON have secured a change of policy from the Council to deal with fly tipping. This followed a spate of problems in Edgbaston this summer.

Royal Sutton’s MP calls for independent audit of Brownfield land in Birmingham

Last Sunday's walk on Sutton's Green Belt to support Children in Need and mark the end of the consultation on Birmingham City Council’s proposals to build on it was joined by Andrew Mitchell, who addressed to a crowd of up to 350 Royal Suttonians, calling for a full and independent audit of all of Birmingham’s brownfield sites.

Longbridge Marks & Spencer`s Grand Opening

Longbridge campaigner Dan Caldicott attended the opening of the new Marks and Spencer’s store on the former Longbridge works site on Wednesday 4th November 2015. The new store has created over 350 jobs and is part of the regeneration plan to ultimately create 10,000 jobs.

Popular Tyburn Ward campaigner, Clifton Welch, has said he will be fighting the proposed closure of Castle Vale Police station by West Midlands’ Police. The plans have been put together by West Midlands Police, and will need to be signed off by the Labour Police and Crime Commissioner.
